Final Quarter Reduced Course Load

Eligibility

During your final quarter, you can request authorization to enroll part-time in the remaining credits needed to complete your program. Only students in their final quarter of coursework may apply for this authorization.

How to Apply

• Enroll in the credits needed to complete your program.
• Submit the RCL – Final Quarter request through the MyISSS portal.
• Allow 2-3 weeks for ISS processing.
• You will receive a confirmation email if your ISS adviser approves your RCL request.

Other Considerations

• When you are approved for Final Quarter Reduced Course Load authorization, your I-20 will be shortened to the last day of your final quarter if necessary.
• The RCL authorization will not appear on your I-20.
• During your final quarter, you can not be registered in only CPT coursework or only online coursework.
• You are expected to graduate during the quarter of authorization. If you are not able to graduate, please consult an ISS advisor as soon as possible.
• Final Quarter RCL authorizations can only be approved twice.
