How are Estimated Expenses Calculated?

General Notes

  1. Tuition amounts used above are based on the 2025-2026 quarterly tuition & fee rates per the UW Office of Planning & Budgeting Tuition & Fees Dashboards.
  2. Living expenses are calculated from the 2025-2026 Student Budget Nine-Month Expenses. (Textbooks and course supplies, rent, utilities and food, personal and miscellaneous, and transportation). Living expenses for all undergraduate students are calculated using the “Living on/off campus” rate.
