ISS Newsletter: Spring Reminders & Employment Support

Dear reader,

Welcome to the start of spring quarter! This is always one of the busiest times of the year for both students and ISS, so if you plan to visit our office, be sure to read through our tips on visiting ISS to make your trip as smooth and effective as possible.

We know many of you have already begun to look for post-graduation jobs or summer internships. We encourage you to attend the Career and Internship Center’s Spring Jobs and Internships Fair, and remember to apply for the appropriate work authorization, such as OPT or CPT, before beginning any employment.

This is also a great time to make sure your documents and plans are in order. Check your I-20 or DS-2019 program end date, and if you are not graduating this spring, be sure to request a program extension. It’s also a good time to review your rights and responsibilities as an international student to make sure you stay in status and prepared for the months ahead.
