Introducing Our New ISHIP Counselor: Catherine Rock

We are excited to welcome Catherine Rock as the new ISHIP Counselor in the ISHIP Office. Catherine brings valuable experience from her work with exchange students and her time in international admissions at Pierce College. In her new role, she will advise international students on their benefits, accessing medical care, navigating the American healthcare system, and answering billing questions. Outside of work, Catherine enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family and dog. Feel free to drop in for assistance in our new office in room 304 at the Husky Health Center or through our Virtual Front Desk.

Need Coverage Over Summer?

If you will be graduating in June or are taking a break quarter over Summer and plan to stay in the U.S., you will want to plan ahead to ensure you have medical coverage. Spring quarter is the last opportunity to enroll in the annual ISHIP coverage, which will guarantee you are covered over Summer quarter, whether you enroll in Summer quarter classes or not.

If you have already enrolled in quarterly coverage for Spring and chose quarterly ISHIP coverage, it's not too late to change it to the annual coverage. You have until the registration deadline of April 18th to make changes to your ISHIP coverage. Learn how to change your coverage from quarterly to annual here.

Are You A New Student? Review our Checklist

The ISHIP Office receives many questions from new students ranging from when does coverage start to how to get you insurance card. We have prepared a list of things to know for all new students arriving for Spring quarter. Check out the New Student Checklist to find answers to your general questions.
