All students must file some kind of tax-related form if you studied in the U.S. in 2019, even if you did not work on campus.

Glacier Tax Prep
To help make tax filing easier for F-1 and J-1 students, ISS provides free access to Glacier Tax Prep. This web-based program provides step-by-step instructions and assistance with the preparation of the appropriate forms.

Student Fiscal Services Tax Workshops:
To help international students understand the 1042-S tax form and other relevant tax information, Student Fiscal Services is presenting free tax workshops.
Location: all tax workshops are in Odegaard, Room 220.
Tuesday, March 10: 3:00 – 4:00 pm
Tuesday, March 24: 1:30 – 2:30 pm
Wednesday, April 8: 1:30 – 2:30 pm
Free Tax Help
Free in-person tax help is offered by the United Way and the students in the Master of Science in Taxation program. This UW VITA site link has additional information.
Be sure to notify the tax expert of your F-1 or J-1 status, because the tax laws are different.
