Changes to ISS Advising

Dear Students,

You may have noticed that we’ve had a few changes to our advising team and services over the last few months.

We were happy to welcome Justin Mellish as an advisor on our team this past September and I joined the advising team in October as well!

We’re working to enhance your experience with ISS and have opened up virtual drop-in advising services to help you meet with advisors in quick, shorter appointments. We are also working to update our website to clarify information for you.

Another change you may notice is that your primary assigned advisor is shifting with ISS. As our team has adapted to support you since the beginning of the pandemic and we are now using a team approach to process your requests and answer your emails. Moving forward, you will likely have a chance to meet with many of our amazing advisors in virtual drop-ins, appointments, and via email. This change will hopefully improve your experience as we work as a team to support you during your journey at University of Washington.

Thank you so much and we look forward to serving you!

Sincerely,
Sharece M. Bunn
Assistant Director of International Student Advising
