Once this form is submitted to the Registrar's Office, the ISS will receive an email. Be Aware of SCAMS
The ISS continues to hear from students who have been targeted by scams. The U.S. government, foreign governments, and other organizations related to your immigration status will NEVER demand money or information and WILL NOT ask for private, secure information over the phone or email. This is a SCAM.
|
- HANG UP; stop talking with the person asking you for money
- DO NOT SEND MONEY or gift card information to strangers
- DO NOT give them private data like your passport number, account info, parent's info, etc.
- TELL someone you trust
- REPORT it to the UW Police
- ALERT your Consulate or Embassy and your family
