Week 3 of the quarter marks the beginning of the Late Course Drop period. This means that there are additional steps involved if you need to drop courses.
You have two options:
Please review the detailed instructions on the university registrar's website for more information.

SUMMER QUARTER ENROLLMENT

  • New to the UW or to a new degree program starting summer quarter? Complete the ISS Check-In process by accessing your MyISSS account and completing the Check-In Request form.
  • If summer quarter is your first quarter at the UW, you must be enrolled full-time (12 credits for undergraduates, 10 credits for graduate students).
  • If summer quarter is your final quarter at the UW, you must also be enrolled full-time (12 credits for undergraduates, 10 credits for graduate students). Review the Possible Exceptions to Full-Time Enrollment to see if you qualify. Take action if you qualify for an exception and you need to request a reduced course load.

ARE YOU CURRENTLY ON STEM OPT?

Don't forget to submit your 6 month validation reports on time! The request form is available in the Requests & Documents section of your MyISSS account and is very simple! Students needing to submit the 12 and 24 month reports will also need to submit their I-983.

REMINDER ABOUT SCAMS

The ISS continues to hear from students who have been targeted by scams, especially ones where the email or caller claims to be from the U.S. government, foreign government, or other organizations related to your immigration status. Be aware that these scams can sound scary or threatening but NEVER give your private, secure information to someone demanding secure information.

The U.S. government, SEVP, ICE, FBI, and Police WILL NEVER DEMAND MONEY or your private information like bank account, passport information, etc.

WHAT STEPS DO I TAKE?
  • HANG UP; stop talking with the person asking you for money
  • DO NOT SEND MONEY or gift card information to strangers
  • DO NOT give them private data like your passport number, account info, etc.
  • TELL someone you trust
  • REPORT it to the UW Police on campus
  • ALERT your Consulate or Embassy and your family
