Friday is Veterans Day!
|
I'm sure you're all aware that you don't have school this Friday, November 11, but do you know why?
|
|
In the U.S., we celebrate Veterans Day every November 11th. During this day, we honor the people who have served in the military and fought in foreign wars.
|
|
You may actually meet veteran students in your classes here at UW. There is even an office dedicated to offering them support.
|
|
If you happen to meet a veteran student or community member this week, ask them about their life or experience. We have so much to learn from one another when we connect.
|
|
Traveling this winter break? Get a travel signature!
It was nice to see some of you this morning when you stopped in for your travel signature. We have two more travel signature clinics this fall to get ready for winter break travels! The next one is coming soon!

- Materials Needed: Bring a paper copy of your most recent I-20.

ISS Services - 11/21-25
Along with being closed this Friday, 11/11, we have some other office changes coming up that we wanted to remind you about!
|
- November 21-23 - The ISS office will be closed though advisors and staff will be responding to email queries. No ISS staff members will be available on campus.
- November 24 & 25 - Thanksgiving and Indigenous People's Day - ISS will be closed and we will not respond to any emails.

ISS & ISHIP Autumn Quarter Hours
The International Student Services office is open for regular business hours. You can visit our front desk Monday through Thursday, 1 PM to 4 PM.
|
|
The ISHIP Office has a virtual front desk Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 11 AM. An advisor is available to meet with you about insurance Monday through Thursday.
