NEW THIS WEEK:

This week marks the final week of instruction for Autumn 2021 - best of luck as you complete final exams and projects!

As the quarter ends, we know that many students are making plans to travel - either to your home country, within the United States, or elsewhere. We strongly encourage you to keep up-to-date with travel restrictions, particularly with news about the latest COVID-19 variant. Travel guidelines, requirements, and restrictions can change quickly, so we want to make sure you are prepared and remind you of the following:
  • Refer to the CDC guidelines for international travel.
  • Be aware of new travel restrictions and make flexible plans when possible:
    • The U.S. government announced effective December 6, all international air passengers traveling to the U.S. will be required to produce a COVID-19 negative test within one day of their departure, regardless of nationality or vaccination status.
    • National Interest Exception waivers to the latest travel restrictions are not currently available.
    • Consider carefully the risk of international travel right now and your options for returning to the U.S. knowing that new travel restrictions could be implemented and you may be required to quarantine or self-isolate when you return to the U.S. Monitor the CDC international travel guidelines.
  • Refer to the ISS Coronavirus FAQ for F & J students as well as the university's facts and resources for all campus community members, which are kept up-to-date with the latest information.

HAPPENING NOW:

If you will be traveling internationally over the winter break, make sure to check your most recent I-20 or DS-2019 for a valid travel signature! Travel signatures are valid for 1 year for enrolled students - if you need an update, request one online today!
