Required Check-in at ISO

All Exchange Visitors new to the University of Washington (including transfers from another school in the U.S.) must visit the International Scholars Office (ISO) in 239 Gerberding Hall on Tuesday at 3:00 so that their arrival on campus can be reported to the Department of Homeland Security as required by federal law. Exchange Visitors should arrive a few minutes early so the one-hour check-in session can begin promptly at 3:00. Exchange Visitors should bring to the check-in their passport, DS-2019 form, Insurance Compliance Statement, and local Seattle-area residence address. The Tuesday check-in session must occur not later than 30 days after the program start date indicated in item 3 of the DS-2019 form. Failure to check-in with ISO causes automatic revocation of the Exchange Visitor’s lawful status.
